I only have one awning to recover, is there a limit?
Recovermyawning.com or RMA does not have a minimum for orders.
I am not sure how to measure the awning do you walk through it with us?
RMA offers a few different options for you to get the measurements you need. First, if we have an affiliate in your area we can schedule a time for them to meet with you for a free estimate. If you’re the DIY type and feel comfortable with a measuring tape and a ladder then we can work with you to get the measurements directly. Visit our “How to measure an Awning” page to watch a video on the measurements that we need? We can even set up a time for a video conference with one of our representatives to talk you through the process.
Can RMA recover any awning?
At this time RMA only recovers specific types of awnings. We will recover awnings that are what we call standard awnings that are laced on with rope or even self-tapping fasteners. There can be no curves or cut out and it’s always best to submit a few photos of the existing awning(s) that you wish to recover if you are not sure.
Does RMA use good materials?
We only use either Sunbrella Marine or Awning or Patio 500 fabrics. These are rock-solid fabrics that we have been using for over 30 years.
Is there a cost to becoming an affiliate?
There is no cost to becoming an affiliate for RMA.
As an affiliate can I expand the types of awnings that RMA will manufacture a recover for?
Yes, there are several different ways to accomplish this. First, if you are able to send the existing cover to us to use as a template along with some measurements we can typically make most of the different styles out there in this way. Second, with a bit of training, you will be able to expand your capabilities. Although we may not recommend more complex awning styles you will be able to do the majority of the awnings out there.
What if we send RMA the incorrect measurements?
Firstly, we need to establish what went wrong and attempt to pull together the corrected measurements. Armed with that info we should be able to decide whether or not the fabric is able to be altered to accommodate the new measurements. If yes, you would send us the awning fabric back with the corrected measurements. If the fabric is unable to be altered we would then need to build an entirely new fabric for your awning recover. RMA would discount the replacement fabric.
